Does the red light light up when you press the buttons? If not, you may need to replace the battery in the remote. If it does light up but not work then you may need to replace the battery in the remote.
The lastly, it may need to be re-programmed. if it still isn't working, you are going to turn your unit on, then turn the remote on, (pressing the red round button) you are then going to press both the in and out buttons and hold them down, the light will flicker rapidly like it is sending a signal but keep them depressed until the red light stays lit, you will let off the buttons, then press and hold them both again until the red light flashes for a bit then goes out. You have now re-programmed your remote.
